The Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry (USALI) was first published in 1926 to provide hotel owners and managers with operating statements formatted with operational information specifically for the hotel industry. Hilton College of Global Hospitality Leadership at the University of Houston, and Ralph Miller, CPA, CA, CBV, CHA, CHAE+, President of Inntegrated Hospitality Management Ltd., member of the HFTP Global Finance Committee, and co-author of the Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry (USALI) 11th Revised Edition and upcoming 12th Revised Edition.
During this session, attendees of HFTP’s Annual Convention will hear about the revision process and timeline of the USALI 12th Edition and review the major changes in the operating and financial statements. The panel will review new schedules as well as the steps and strategies to build better schedules. Additionally, the panel will share resources to help attendees have a better understanding of the upcoming edition and its content, and gain proficiency in the new system through tips and best practices.
