Don’t forget these last-minute year-end tips!- All 1099 files require updated 1099 software each year. The Q&A template is available for your use on pasportal.com, but you will need to order either 1099 Pro or another software option to process your formal 1099 documents. If you are not tracking 1099 status in SunSystems, the team at PAS can show you how to do this. If you are on the standard PAS chart, 1099 is tracked in LA10.
- AR and AP aging reports do not freeze in time, so do not forget to run your reports for year end. If you are currently using Q&A Alert (available with Q&A and SunSystems), we can schedule these date-sensitive reports to automatically generate an email in both Excel and PDF formats on a timetable that you create. If you are interested in using this feature, please generate a ticket with our helpdesk team, and we can give you a quote for this quick configuration to ease your mind.
- SunSystems requires you to post year-end profit. You can do this as often as you need and there is a default Q&A template available for your use on pasportal.com (Template – Year End Closing Entry). If you are on the standard PAS chart, this is done by utilizing account code ZZZ.
- SunSystems requires you to post a year-end closing entry. Instructions for posting this are on the portal, listed by SunSystems version, and including the relevant Q&A Template for pasCloud clients.
